10K Race entries – Entries are capped at 1,500 and will close on Sunday 27 August 2016. Online entries will be acknowledged by a confirmation e-mail with your allocated race number. Your race number and timing chip can be claimed at Race Registration at the Ormeau Park Bowling Pavillion (Ormeau Road side) between 10am to 1.45pm on Sunday 3rd Sepbmer by presenting your confirmation email at the Ormeau Park Bowling Pavilion (Ormeau Road side) from 10am to 1.45pm Sunday 3rd September (race day)

Race entry fee – Affiliated entry fee:  £14, Unaffiliated entry fee:  £16

Start and Finish – The start and finish will be in the Ormeau Park, near the Ormeau Road entrance and close to the bowling pavilion. The 10k will start at 2pm

Car Parking – Car Parking is available along the Ormeau Embankment, Park Road and around the Ormeau Road entrance to Ormeau Park.  Please note the Ormeau Embankment will be closed from 1.45pm to after the last runner has come through their second lap (approximately 3pm) and Park Road.

Toilets and Changing – Toilets and changing facilities will be available at the Bowling Pavilion and the Public Toilets within the park

Course info

The race starts and finishes on the parks path near the Ormeau Road entrance to the Ormeau Park.  The course will take runners through the park and out onto the Ravenhill Road.  They will take a left along the Albertbridge Road and turn left again into the Lagan towpath.  Runners will come out at the Ormeau Bridge head back along the side of the river on the Ormeau Embankment to begin a second lap of the towpath and embankment before turning back into the park to finish.

All turns will be signposted and marshalled.  Runners are asked to be conscious of other park and road users and observe all directions on signposts and from the marshalls and police.  Please see the route map.

Minimum ages
Participants in the 10k must be at least 15 year of age. The organizers cannot be responsible for any entrants below 15 years age. The fun run is aimed at children from 6-15 years of age.  Children who are under 11, must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Childrens’  1 mile 
This is a fun event, all finishers will receive a goody bag and medal on completion. The run is within Ormeau Park and will be sign posted. Start time 1.15pm.  Registration is at the Bowling Pavillion.
All finishers in the 10k will receive a commemorative medal as they finish. Prize giving for first three male and female will be at finish area at approximately 3.15pm subject to the weather. Please note prizes outside off first three will be awarded in categories entered any deviation is at the discretion off organizers
Results will be available on this website on the day of the race
Post race refreshments – This year as part of the Laganside 10K we are raising money for pancreatic cancer. All the scones teas and coffees are donations for which the event will reimburse the charity. If you’d like to support this worthwhile cause remember to bring some change for the collection buckets at the finish.
